Dior Homme Autumn/Winter 2011-12

COMFORT and luxury combined at Dior Homme today, where designer Kris Van Assche (who also shows under his own name), showcased a collection of easy pieces and fluid shapes, which contrasted nicely with the starkness of the show’s setting – an almost empty apartment. With P Diddy sitting firmly in the front row, he presented a black, grey and monochromatic palette and the prevailing look was slouchy, oversized, understated but, overall, comfortable – with wide-legged trousers that sat on the hip, cape cloaks and robe-jackets. Compounding red to be the favourite shade from the menswear shows, Assche sent out a series of all-tomato red looks, which made quite the impact.
